Illegal Jewish settlers have moved into apartments overlooking the shops of Hebron’s Old City.  Mesh netting covers the open-air market to prevent settlers from throwing objects i.e. garbage and bricks into the market.

The doors of many Palestinian shops are welded shut by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

Old City Hebron is a throughway to the Ibrahimi Mosque (Cave of the Patriarchs).  The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) control entry to the mosque through a series of turnstiles and a checkpoint including for Palestinians.
